About

I’m a mom to three boys, and grandma to one gorgeous little boy! Was married for 20 years. I love creating things for my family. I’ve got seven nephews and one niece, and I’m always thinking of the next gift I’m going to make.

My paternal grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was about 10 and I’ve been actively crocheting since I was about 16. I keep trying to teach my mom how to crochet, but it’s just not working. I think I’ll have to teach her how to loom knit instead.

My maternal grandmother tried to teach me how to knit when I was about 8 or 9, but never could catch on. I can make a terrific, never-ending scarf- just don’t know how to finish it off! lol I’m now teaching myself (or rather re-learning) how to knit. Finally got it pretty much figured out… how was I to know that Gram taught me left-handed knitting? She was right-handed, as am I! lol

I’ve been loom knitting since January 2007, and I love it! It’s so wonderfully quick and easy to learn. I’ve made dozens and dozens of hats and scarves, several infant booties, several toddler slipper socks, a couple of baby afghans, pillow covers, arm chair covers and other odds and ends.

I try to create my own patterns, when I can. I gladly share them, as long as copyright rules are obeyed. I worked hard to create them, and it wouldn’t be fair for someone else to claim them as their own. Just as I would never claim someone else’s work is mine!
